What is a network ?
Network can be defined as the group of connected computers that can communicate with one another. Networks enable computers to share files and resources and exchange messages. Each computer connected to the network is called as a node.
Computers play a vital role in almost all the fields today. Earlier when the computers were introduced the number of computers in an organization were very less in number and mostly were stand-alone systems and confined within a single room. Due to the advancement in technology today computers are uesd extensively in many fields. One of the main reasons for this glogal ues of computers is the interconnection of computers and communication, with has had a profound influncd on the way computer systems are organized.
